The Washington Huskies' offensive line appears solid, with a projected No. 1 line that stands up well in size and experience compared to other Power 4 conferences. The line features Kodi Greene, John Mills, Landen Hatchett, Champ Taulealea, and Drew Azzopardi, all of whom are 315 to 344 pounds and highly experienced or highly acclaimed. Coach Jedd Fisch notes that the team has outstanding depth behind the first unit, with a second-unit O-line that includes battle-tested players and youthful job candidates. This depth is led by Sam Houston State transfer Kolt Dieterich and seventh-year senior Geirean Hatchett, both of whom are capable of starting this season. Dieterich, a 6-foot-6, 295-pound guard, drew 18 game-opening assignments over the past two seasons, while Hatchett, a 6-foot-4, 306-pound guard, has 18 career starts, including one at Oklahoma in 2024. The second unit also includes redshirt freshmen Jake Flores and Justin Hylkema, who are working hard to develop their skills. Flores took over as the No. 1 center for the final 13-plus practices, and Hylkema, a 6-foot-7, 326-pound right tackle, is being developed at a leisurely pace. The team's depth and experience up front are key factors in their improved play, and Fisch is optimistic about the team's chances in the coming season. With a strong O-line and experienced back-ups, the Washington Huskies are looking strong heading into the 2027 season.
