Washington Huskies Miss Out on Four-Star CB Jailen Hill Commitment

The Washington Huskies faced a setback in their recruiting efforts when four-star cornerback Jailen Hill committed to the Nebraska Cornhuskers instead of joining the Huskies. Hill, a standout from St. John Bosco in Southern California, had been a priority target for Washington, who was the only program to schedule an official visit with him. Standing at 6-foot-2 and weighing 170 pounds, Hill is ranked as the nation's No. 294 overall prospect and No. 34 cornerback by the 247Sports Composite. Although he was initially set to visit Montlake on May 29, he ultimately changed his plans and did not make the trip. Hill's commitment to Nebraska comes after he rescheduled his announcement date and moved his visit to Nebraska ahead of his planned trip to Washington. Despite this loss, the Huskies have been actively recruiting other cornerbacks and have hosted several promising prospects, including four-star Censere Gaylord and three-star Evan Mack. Mack, who is 6-foot-3 and 175 pounds, shares a similar playing style with Hill, showcasing the Huskies' continued focus on enhancing their secondary. Washington's defensive coordinator Ryan Walters and secondary coach John Richardson remain optimistic about their recruiting strategy, having secured a commitment from three-star cornerback Maurice Williams in late December 2025.
